The Ladies secure the Division 2 Title

Away to Chiltern Flames, Sunday 15th March, Won 56-32

Chiltern made the better start in this game pulling out an early lead but the ladies regrouped and quickly closed the gap with good scores from Annabelle, Alex and Robyn. Annabelle then found a sweet spot of form and posted 9 unanswered points to lead the ladies into a 17-9 lead at the end of the first period.

The second period would have been closer but for Chiltern missing a number of free throws whilst the ladies scored well with Scarlett, Becky M, Alex and Helen all scoring 2 a-piece. The opposition however came back strong in the third and limited the ladies scoring opportunities whilst putting plenty of points on the board themselves, this set up a tense final period as the lead was cut to just 9 points.

The ladies were determined to tie up this game though and end the regular season on a high and brought out their a game in the final period, limiting the flames to just 1 basket whilst scoring themselves as will. Whilst the final score did not reflect the game, the opposition giving the ladies a much tougher challenge, it was nevertheless well deserved as every player had a strong game.
