The Ladies stage a fine comeback to defeat Aldworth

Away to Aldworth Darts, Monday 7th December, Won 50-33

With a team of just 5 going into this game, coach Annabelle only set two objectives for the game, to play as a team and to have fun. After having had only a 5 minute warm up, Woking struggled in the first and second quarters with fitness and time outs were called to help the team get their breath back rather than talk through any major strategies. Still Woking found themselves keeping up with Aldworth in the first quarter and trailing by only 7 at the half.

After the half time break, it felt like a new team stepped on court, one full of energy, passion and confidence. On offence, Woking quickly learnt where the weak spots in Aldworth's zone defence with Robyn and Milena posting up and going strong to the basket. On the other end of the floor, Woking became vocal and Helen and Anne worked as a team to defend against any screens from Aldworth who found it difficult to penetrate to the basket. Overall this was a great team performance from those on court (and Elena off court).

Top scorer was Annabelle with 22 points.
