Hunters Fall To Warriors On The Road

Woking Blackhawk Hunters 51 - 62 Windsor Warriors

Heading out to an away game without your starting point guard is always tough. Woking found themselves with a difficult game as they faced the Windsor Warriors on Thursday.

Despite good efforts from all involved, the Hunters could not get their offence going, managing just 9 points in the 2nd quarter.

Vince Elwick stepped up to fill some of the void left by the injured Dave Nuttall. James Wildsmith top scored for the Hunters with 14 points, while Sam Cane and Alex Braine-Porter both had very solid outings.

The Blackhawks will now have 2 weeks to prepare for Woodley's visit to the Hawks Nest!

James Wildsmith - 14

Alex BP - 11

Vince Elwick - 10

Sam Cane - 6

Rick Lansdell - 4

Nick Sammut - 2

Ady Jayaram - 2

Harris Porter - 2

Highlight of the game: Despite the many And-1 plays executed by Vince Elwick, James Wildsmith and Alex BP, we are going for a 1st quarter play. Rick Lansdell from the low post, wrap around bounce pass to the cutting Sam Cane who finishes with a layup in traffic!
